DU Group proposal: Russ Feingold 2008
Feingold is a great guy- he may be a Senator, but he has the guts and integrity to fight whatever slime the GOP heaps on us in '08.

I know there are non-DU Feingold 08 groups, but one on DU would be cool

I don't have much influence here, but a DU group for this would be awesome.

1. I'd go for it! Even a general Russ Feingold group, if that would be more
"workable." I'd go for either.

3. McCain-Feingold campaign finance "reform" is a mess.
Here in CA, they're talking about eliminating Assembly Disrict Committees and forcing the whole state Party into massive reorganization because of McCain-Feingold. The rules are complex, confusing, and seem designed to discourage volunteers from participating in the political process. If you're an AD officer and make the slightest mistake, you could face criminal charges.

I wouldn't support Feingold unless he revised his own bill so that the rules don't penalize Democratic grassroots activists.

even if you don't want Feingold in '08, having a board to discuss the options would be beneficial, would it not?
