A dangerous precedent

It didn't take long before the case law established by the Schiavo precedent was put to the test. Teresa Heinz Kerry announced today that she would be disconnecting her husband's feeding tube, previously referred to as the Heinz family fortune. John Kerry, a former Democratic presidential candidate, will be forced to survive on the meager salary he earns as a United States Senator until he shrivels and dies. Those close to the Massachusetts lawmaker have already observed a lack of energy, decreased sense of humor, indecisiveness and an unnatural orange skin-tone.

Minority Leader Harry Reid vowed to filibuster any attempt by the Senate to intervene in the case, citing states' rights and spousal privilege.

there were a series of threads in GD called "Gannon Wrinkles." This was where all Gannon theorizers would go to speculate on all sorts of matters of importance, such as whether or not Gannon went to high school or looked like obscure scandal figures of the past. I think the administrators devised this system once it became painfully obvious that Jamie D. Guckert was a loser who was getting a lot more out of the interest Gannonophiles on DU had in him than the Gannonophiles themselves. When the wrinkles began to rely on anti-Semitic and homophobic Websites for new information, the admins pulled the plug.

And that's all I know about the wrinkles.

This Palm Sunday was a special day for me. At the end of the morning service, there was a prayer line for those with special needs. The man who welcomed me the first time I came to the church I now regularly attend asked me to come down so the ministers of the church could pray for me. They surrounded me with prayer, knowing the very public difficulties I have endured. Their prayers have strengthened and encouraged me. I am truly blessed.
