3. There is a DumpJoe movement in CT
Looks like they're going after Lieberman's seat in the primary.

6. I certainly hope so
He's the worst of the lot. And, yes, they all need to get dumped in the primaries. I'm sick of their giving the Rethugs free votes.

5. Wrong
We need headcount. That is the bottom line. Throwing out a Democratic incumbent, no matter how egregious, is tantamount to shooting ourselves in the foot head.

when it matters. Thr roll call is the only head count, the rest is just World Almanac information.

12. If we want committee chairs, leadership, etc we need to have the headcount
Edited on Fri Mar-11-05 10:40 AM by Richardo
The roll call changes from vote to vote, right? The leadership positions stay.

11. Perhaps you missed it, but they want to replace them in the Primaries.
That means, get rid of them by voting in a real Dem.

14. Throwing out an incumbent risks the seat.
Incumbency makes re-election almost guaranteed (Daschle notwithstanding)

9. Byrd's finished anyway, right?
I assumed that was why he voted for this crap.

With a couple of possible exceptions (Rockerfeller?), the rest are useless.

10. E-mailed Nelson, Fl
I informed him I would not be voting for him again, have not liked his voting record. We do have to find another candidate who will run to replace him. It will be difficult, no one stands out right now.

13. Florida Dems are like a water-color painting that has had too much
morning sunshine. It was weak to begin with, and now it's fading fast.

together to fight the right wing liears, thieves, murderers - by our ending up feeling lukewarm about the dem presidential candidates that we were given, then ending up sticking together in an ABB stand.

Here's one small thing to do - get them to promise that they will not take any money from the MNBA's, Citicorps, etc.

Make them promise that they didn't do this for their pot.

Make them talk...make them tell what was in it for them.

18. Democrats should remake their party so as to represent the far left
only. Get rid of the big tent. And when they are desperate to get back in power in the houses so that they could do something about the electoral process et all - we want to get rid of 15 of them because they do not do exactly as we want?

I have to ask? Are you a freeper?

Washington is not going to change if Democrats redo their party as a reaction to Bush. We will not succeed if we copy the brownshirt behavior and start to target our own folks. We will only succeed if we get the right numbers in the house & senate so we can reform the electoral process and allow for 'free time' on TV & equal time of TV. Do you think that will happen if you get rid of a third of the people who have proven themselves to be electable?

I would love to see the poles on how many Democrats are fiscal conservatives because I would bet it would be upwards of at least 60% of the party. So we want to get rid of 60% of the party?

Yeah - right! Makes so much sense.
