Lie Detector and Sean Hannity
When will Sean Hannity be fired? With all the things that are going on in the world and in the United States Sean Hannity decided to have Paula Jones to talk about how she passed a lie detector test on PAX Television. The PAX Television is owned by Sinclair Broadcasting so the lie detector could have been fake or rigged. Do you really think she would have failed a lie detector on PAX? In addition, lie detector test are not admissible in court because they are considered to be faulty and it is believed that they can be fooled.

2. Let's be honest with ourselves...
insanity will never be fired as long as he gets strong tv ratings. The only way to get his ass off tv is to NOT watch his show.

3. Hannity's 15 minutes are well past up - Paula Jones? She is borrowing
from her great granchildren's nieces and nephews.

4. Did they ask her if Sean Hannity ever slept with James Guckert. their
styles and intellect are about equal, with Sean a bit slower than the GOP man whore.

If they ever had a REAL Liberal on the show to debate him, he would be slaughtered.

5. Ratings
Blowing away the competition. He could stand on his head for an hour, he would not get fired. Hate wins out.

8. he'll be fired
the day he mentions that the lie detector tests are unreliable.

By the way, PAX is not owned by Sinclair. In fact I'm not aware of any connection between the two. At one point, NBC had a stake in PAX, but I think any connection between the two has been (or is in the process of being) unwound. As far as I know, none of Sinclair's stations are PAX affiliates.

9. More Proof
Earlier today I posted that lie detector tests are considered to be faulty. Now I have some more proof of how faulty they are. In 1997 a 25 year FBI agent who testified before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee. This is what he said:

"It is completely without any theoretical foundation and has absolutely no validity. Although there is disagreement amongst scientists about the use of polygraph testing in criminal matters, there is almost universal agreement that polygraph screening is completely invalid and should be stopped. As one of my colleagues frequently says, the diagnostic value of this type of testing is no more than that of astrology or tea-leaf reading.

If this test had any validity (which it does not), both my own experience, and published scientific research has proven, that anyone can be taught to beat this type of polygraph exam in a few minutes.

Because of the nature of this type of examination, it would normally be expected to produce large numbers of false postive results (falsely accusing an examinee of lying about some issues). As a result of great consequences of doing this with large numbers of law enforcement and intelligence community officers, the test has now been manipulated to reduce false positive results, but consequently has no power to detect deception in expionage and other national security matters. Thus, I believe that there is vertually no probablity of catching a spy with the use of polygraph screening techniques. I think a careful examinations of the Aldrich Ames case will reveal that any shortcomings in the use of the polygraph were not simply errors on the part of the polygraph examiners involved, and would not have been eliminated if FBI instead of CIA polygraphers had conducted these examinations. Instead I believe this is largely a reflection of the complete lack of validity of this methodology. To the extent that we place any confidence in the result of polygraph screening, and as a consequence shortchange traditional security velling techniques, I think our national security is severely jeopardized."

12. Her 15 minutes
are up aren't they?

My favorite lie detector story. I'm in the special "don't be a traitor" meeting and the DICE MAN is giving us his really good "look at this dirty traitor" speach. The punch line was "and this guy passed a lie detector test." This at a time the federal governent was trying to get us all to take lie detector test as mandatory for our job. The collective thought of everyone in the room was "huh explain again what good they are if the bad guys pass them."
