Christian group fasts for "holiness" of George W Bush
Is this such a bad thing (after all, they DO claim to be non-partisan)...or are they just whack-jobs?

http://www.heartlight.org/fast/

And, are they any more off-kilter than the following bunch? Check out the "action items" at the bottom- one of which is a call to:

"Pray that any anti-Bush anti-war propaganda will be exposed for what it is and that in all things the truth will prevail."
((Pray for the TRUTH?- be careful what you ask for!))

http://www.prayforgeorgewbush.com

Finally, there's these folks. It seems like a fairly innocuous activity, until you see the "poll" on the opening page which asks the (apparently non-rhetorical) question: "Do you believe prayer of any kind should be permitted in public?" ((Hello?! Did anyone, anywhere, ever suggest that prayer shouldn't be permitted "in public?"))

2. This is why pointing out the UNCHRISTIAN nature of his policies
packs such an incredible wallop. These aren't bad people. They're just wrong. Rubbing their noses in the difference between what they have learned about Christ and what Fuckwit is actually doing is the one way to get through to them.

8. Pointing out the UNCHRISTIAN nature of his policies
Won't make a damn bit of difference to the followers of Falwell, Robertson, Graham, and the rest of that group of nutjobs.

Don't you understand, their minds can't deal with the truth, they could actually watch as Bush killed 10 children, and they would convince themselves that it was a message from God. This is what we
have to deal with.

Yes there are some left who don't really believe that Bush is the messenger of God, and those are the ones that we need to find and try to win over. As for those who are convinced that Bush is protected by divine providence, some might be salvageable, but most are a lost cause.

As for them not being bad people, would you say that the German people were bad, or the Italian people, or even the Russian people?
No they weren't bad, but by being wrong they assisted in the deaths of millions.

Rubbing their noses in the fact that they worship a man, more then they follow the teachings of Jesus, could just as well backfire, and only make them worse then they are now.

I say we convince those that do question him and his cronies and the things that they are trying to do, and let the sheep follow the Judas goat to the slaughter house. If we're lucky we might be able to save some of them, but not all of them.

As has been said, in war sacrifices have to be made, better to sacrifice the true believers, then to sacrifice those who can be turned. And make no mistake this is a war, and it's a war we have to win!!!!!!

The religious right is a cult and this is proof. Unfortunately, they don't understand * laughs his ass off at them - he sucessfully used their fanatic religious beliefs for political gain. Poor idiots.
