been in Washington for too long. The "Washington" think", which also is more of a "National think" isn't good for a Presidential Candidate, a rich VP candidate that has a couple of mansions worth 3 million each, a Presidential Candidate (even richer)that has been a Senator for over 20(?) years are too far removed from the everyday constituents and don't know HOW to relate to the average likely Democratic Voter.
Say what you will about Bill Daley, brother of, Richard M. Daley, but he really has his finger more closely on the pulse of the people than many many of our Senators who ARE isolated in Washington.
I mean is the average Democrat 1. A millionaire many times over? 2. Secluded in D.C. basically co habiting with other Senators, Lobbyists, Representatives...since when is that conducive to knowing how to communicate with the American People? 3. White, wealthy male?
If we continue looking at Senators, they cannot be from the same mold or we may get much of the same. I think looking really seriously at our Governors is pretty important to start doing right now. We have 4 years to start a genuine and intelligent search and evaluation.
