If an attack on Iran is ridiculous.
How can it still be on the table?

2. When some people lie . . .
they stare real hard at you. That's their 'tell', but they think it makes them look truthfull. Watch W when he's saying that - he stares real hard at somebody off camera for several seconds - like "Dare to call me a liar"

3. An immediate attack is a low probability event
Not saying it couldn't happen--particularly if the Bush Adminsitration concludes they have as much support as they are likely to get. But the higher probability is for them to try to sell it for a year and attack spring 2006. We'll see what happens--they could very well be in the early stages of planning this war. But they might decide tehy can't do it without more international support or a draft (the first being unlikely, the second politicall unviable (at least right now)).

7. My theory......
Israel will attack nuclear facilities in Iran. Iran will launch a counterstrike against Israel. The US will 'defend' Israel by attacking Iran.

9. "It's ridiculous but all options are on the table"
So, does that mean Bush engages in discussion of the ridiculous and plans policy around ridiculous talk?

10. No. what he said was the idea that "people are SAYING" a US attack
on Iran is ridiculous, not that an ACTUAL attack would be, or that there won't be an actual attack.
