Bush in Europe to urge support for democratic Iraq...I'm impressed!!

Bush, left, is met Monday in Brussels by Guy Verhofstadt, Belgium's prime minister.

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush will call on European allies to help Iraq's fledgling democracy become "a beacon of freedom" in the Middle East when he speaks to Belgian leaders Monday, according to excerpts released by the White House."

Jesus Christ, who looks like the bigger retard, Bush or Verhofstadt? This looks like an outtake from Dumb and Dumber.

And I'm tremendously impressed that Bush is trying to get Belgium on our side. After all, they're a major super-power right up there with Russia and China, aren't they?

Who's George going to call on next? Monaco?

3. kinda funny
.... 2+years after the inital invasion and bush* is still trying to get support for it

notice that the invasion excuse has changed from "WMDs are going to get us..." to "..Iraqi liberation..."

Watched the rebroadcast of the Dean-Perlman debate on C-Span yesterday

For a good part of the debate the topic was Iraq - Perlman talked about how we invaded to free the iraqi people...

a bit later the topic turned to trade agreements -- Dean wants trade agreements to include requirements regarding environmental and worker concerns

Perlman argued that this would place a burden on developing countries if they had to things up to US standards and that we shouldn't be telling other countries how to run their businessess

ummmm...but it's ok to invade countries and depose their governments?
