Don't forget HST's last crusade
http://www.lisl.com/

I frankly don't have an opinion one way or the other on this case. But with Thompsona and Warren Zevon both gone now, it's lost all its star power. Could probably use some publicity.

1. The only time I saw Hunter Thompson
was at a rally for Lisl on the Capitol steps in Denver. Do please read about this case. She is in prison now because of a flawed law, the spinelessness of Ritter, the Denver D.A., and the power of the Denver police, who needed a scapegoat.

Douglas Brinkley, historian and Kerry's biographer, was also there, along with Zevon.

2. Is this case for real?
This woman was just at the scene of the crime and afraid of the crazy skinhead shooting people and it's her fault because she didn't give the police proper directions to where he was shooting? Am I reading this clearly? And now she's responsible for the murder when she was with the cops during the murder and never met the perp? HUH?

3. At the time the skinhead shot the officer
she was handcuffed in a police car and trying to warn the officer she was with that the skinhead was armed. Yes, that's right. To this day the Denver DA (Democrat) defends his decision to prosecute, saying that according to the wording of the law (felony murder) Lisl set the events in motion by using the help of the skinhead, whom she had met through friends only the day before, to help her retrieve her stuff from the place she used to live with a former boyfriend, and which the prosecution insisted on calling a burglary. I think some of the jurors now feel they weren't presented with all the relevant facts of the case.

Yes, that's right. The Denver Police union is very powerful and some of their very real crimes of recent years have been covered up by the same DA.

4. I need five minutes with whoever crafted that website
to teach them a few basic grammar rules, starting with, the rules, about, using commas.

Call me an English teacher. I was.

5. I'm kicking this...
Because it seems fairly important today.
