Gonzales/Chertoff work on redefining torture to mean physical abuse that results in death or pain equivalent to that of organ failure.
Ashcroft sends over several men with atrocious records of running prisons and violating human rights and civil rights.
Abu Ghraib becomes filled with prisoners (70-90% of whom are documented by the Red Cross as being innocent) who are then murdered, raped, sodomized, beaten, psychologically abused, humiliated, etc.
And what's been done about it? Not a whole helluva lot.
