The MSM's latest Rove-Approved talking point: Dean needs to tone it down
Is it just me, or has the MSM been working overtime today trying to spread the latest Republican meme that "Howard Dean needs to tone it down."?

People didn't support Howard Dean because of his "toned down" approach.

The fact that the MSM keeps suggesting he should lets you know what their agenda is.

1. Three (groups of) people...Dr. Dean should NOT listen to right now:
1) The SCLM;

2) "Chip" Rove, and

3) Al From.

I'd say that about covers it!:eyes:

4. Besides which his speech today was level-headed
and "toned down."

Let them keep pushing that meme.
It will backfire on them when people actually listen to Dean.

6. I think they are running scared and that's why they are saying
or implying this. I've been hearing that the likes of Rush, et al have been saying Dean is what the DEMS need so we can keep on losing, and that his winning the chairmanship will help the repugs. I think they are bluffing and scared as hell.

7. They doth protest too much.
You're exactly right. They're scared shitless of Howard Dean, because he speaks the truth and he's not afraid of anything. If they wanted him in they would not be dissing him like this. They are terrified!

12. My 74 Year Old Relative Said the "Same Thing" Today.
While we sat in Denny's, she was talking "louder" then usual, knowing everyone was looking her way, but hey, she's worked all her life and was so "excited" that "Dr. Dean Howard" is now in, most if not all that surrounded us could barely look at her, much less me as I purposely made eye-contact with them. (Obvious, red-minded folks)!

She is so proud that "finally" the Democrat party has someone that will stand-up, not be afraid to speak-out so please, Dr. Howard Dean, don't let my little tiny elderly relative down. She's counting on you and if she knows you can do it, so can I!

8. They're whistling in the graveyard
Their reason for spreading the "tone it down" meme is because they're used to having a Democratic Party that won't fight back, and they don't want that to change.

9. Don't give the MSM any ammunition
It's the middle 10 percent that must be convinced to vote Dem. For that too happen, Dean must avoid anything that the media could use to portray him as a kook. He needs to get his ideas out there and let them speak for themselves.

10. Don't ya love watching MSM squirm? It's not you-- it's them.
They are not happy about this-- the more they disapprove, the clearer it gets. But it's not the reporters- my guess is that he's a great story to cover- whether you love him or not because he's a fascinating personality. But the decision makers who do the messaging in MSM are clearly concerned. The more popular he gets, the more they will squirm.

But for many of us-- many more then MSM is wanting to believe-- THIS IS A FABULOUS THING. Go Howard Go-- we are coming right along with you!!!

If you have a minute, read Bob Fertik's blog at www.democrats.com for some wonderful insight into this- he's in DC now, right in the swing of things. http://blog.democrats.com/node/3329

11. Did they get that from the DLC?
It's what they said in 2003.

We think Bush needs to tone it down, don't we?

Do the people get no representation? Is that what it's come to in this system?

13. Wait just a damn minute here...Schwarzenegger calls Dems 'EVIL'
and Governor Dean, MD needs to tone it down? Is this a double standard I am witnessing here?

SACRAMENTO — In a fiery speech to Republican faithful Friday evening, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger ridiculed Democrats as wasteful spending "addicts" who have been taking "sleeping pills," and he characterized California's problems as stemming from "evil."

Represent your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

PUMP UP THE VOLUME! NO MORE COHABITATION!

Make them all break eggs on their foreheads as they laugh & joke with the MSM.

Go Dean! Finally, a glimmer of hope!
