Senate Vote on Rice
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 12:48 PM by G_j
Half-listening: I've counted about 6 no votes so far, at least more than I expected.

Frist's last diatribe.... :puke:
..those who dared to debate Rice's appointment "partisan" (code word for unAmerican in this case)..

20. Yes! Many national groups like MoveOn, UFP&J, and ACLU
have all been mass mailing people with facts, petitions and contact info.

We have a real chance to make a stronger stand against the torture guy. Don't confirmations require a 2/3 majority?

15. It's highly unusual for 13 no votes
for a Cabinet appointment. I think we need to keep that in mind. None of Clinton's got that many.

14. Aye...what did we expect?
He's completely turned from the base that supported him. Him and Salazar are particularly irritating to me right now coming from former "home-states".
