Here's a curious little item....

http://www.iapprovethismessiah.com/2005/01/moon-funnels-250000-to-bush.html

John Gorenfeld, who's been tracking the activities of Sun Myung Moon for quite some time, finds that Moon organizations are donating to Bush's inaugural committee through the Washington Television Center:

"The Washington Television Center is a Unification Movement Closely Associated Entity controlled by Moon through a series of shell and operating companies. This is the name for the office building at 650 Massachusetts Ave., NW in Washington, DC that houses Atlantic Video, Inc. and Nostalgia Network, Inc. also known as GoodLife TV which recently changed it's name to AmericanLife TV.

"The Moon organization purchased the building in mid 1991 in the name of the Washington Television Center, L.P. The managing partner at the time of purchase was a Delaware corporation known as WTC Realty, Inc. The officers and directors of WTC Realty, Inc. are Moon followers who have included Dong Moon Joo President of News World Communications, Inc. the publisher of the Washington Times.

"The 2004 Property Record for the District of Columbia shows the current owner of 650 Massachusetts Ave. as the Washington Television Center C/O US Property Development Corp. Dong Moon Joo is listed as President US Property Development Corp. in the latest corporate filing made by the company with the Virginia State Corporation Commission.

"According to commercial credit reporting service Dun & Bradstreet US Property Development Corp is a subsidiary of One Up Enterprises, Inc. which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Unification Church International a for profit company formed in Washington, DC in 1977."

What I find of interest in this is that the Washington Television Center, according to the site, also houses offices of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. What a neat way to use government funds to support the Rev. Moon. This begs the inevitable question: how many other buildings in Washington, DC, do Moon subsidiaries own, and how many receive money from the US government in rent?
