Poll question: Who best represents your personal ideology?
Who best represents your personal ideology?

Think of it as Left to Right, from the top to the bottom.

7. Isn't that the same as "George Bush"?
Let'em destroy the government until there is a violent revolution, THEN rebuild a progressive utopia with Nader as benevolent king?

Or was it deliberate.

I vote John Kerry--he has always been and still is a progressive activist.

I believe he knows more about the situation than any of us do. And I think the Repubs have had their last rigged election.

I honestly don't know how you can be let down so many times and still have hope. Who knows, maybe you're right.

5. I voted Dean but...
he does have some positions that I am wary of, like gun control, etc. I probably would've added Ted Kennedy to that list, his positions are more consistently liberal.

since, as soon as I find the time, I will write to Kucinich and ask him to marry me, he is definitely the winner for me.

32. I voted for Boxer
Normally, I would have voted for Dean. In this case I voted for Boxer because she stood up against voter fraud in Ohio. I think she deserves credit for that.

13. MLK
who was inspired by Ghandi. Not for their non-violence, or pacifism, but because of the sheer power and strength of the powerless they were able to tap into and make earth shaking change. The courage it took is amazing, to face an opponent so huge and massive, and yet bring it down. I wish I had even a little of their faith in ultimate justice.

They were friends and Gandhi got much of his inspiration from Tostoy. Anarchists, both of them.

19. So you people all believe in the death penalty and are pro-NRA
the environment isn't really that important, and you want to be "tougher on crime." The Patriot Act wasn't all that bad. THIS folks, is what Dean's record was back when he was Governor).

Yes, we all didn't agree with the war in Iraq but neither did Clark or Kucinich. A lot of "Dean" was Joe Trippi.

I wish people would be a bit more concerned about substance (issues) over style. Yes, I admired Dean for his toughness and ouspokenness and he was a catalyst for the Party. He was also a very divisive person in the Democratic Party. I originally supported him but changed my mind once I saw what his record was as Governor.

25. I don't agree with the order you put people from left to right
I also think a flat left<--------->Right line is a really bad way of categorizing politicians and policies.
So I did not vote.

28. I don't see Dr. King as a political leader but as a moral and ethical one
Political labels would not apply to Dr. King for he fought for human rights. It is just a reflection of the times in which we live that the GOP label has come to represent a modern version of the Nazi swastika.

If Dr. King were alive today, he would be attacked and hated by Freepers and by the "GAWD Hates Fags" crowd.

For those not old enough to remember, Dr. King had to fight both major political parties to get them to join the fight against segregation. The Democrats were too afraid to offend (does that sound familiar) their Southern constituencies, so they looked the other way. It wasn't until the MSM broadcast the assault by the attack dogs of Bull Connor on a peaceful march in Birmingham that the moribund conscience of white America was jolted into reality.

29. I voted Dean because he is NOT an ideologue
He is a pragmatist who simply believes that society works better when we work together. In terms of the means of working together, I'm just looking for something that works.
