Seventy-Five Days Since the Election & Still No Terror Alert.
Edited on Fri Jan-14-05 06:38 PM by David Zephyr
Nope.

Not one.

Nada.

Zip.

After one terror alert after the next leading up to the election, now that Bush is back in for another four years we suddenly are no longer threatened? Where are the terror alerts?

No color codes (oh, yeah they were eliminated immediately after Bush had scared the shit out of the American people enough to squeak by in the election).

No terror alert announcements.

No "dirty bomber" threats from John Ashcroft.

No "we're gonna get the shit nuked out of us" fear mongering by the Cheney family.

(I posted this a few weeks back, but thought that the seventy-five day stretch now was worth mentioning again.)

1. And in that time we had New Year's Eve celebrations...
... in big cities nationwide.

In previous years, these were "target-rich environments" blah blah, and all we heard were stories of beefed-up security, increased terrorist chatter, and all that.

This year? Nada. Not a peep.

Some coincidence. :grr:

2. Just let his approval rating drop some more ....
And, you'll either see another "terrorist" threat or they'll trot out Osama with another tape to "scare" us all again! Oh, brother, when will they wake up and realize they've been duped big time!

9. Nah, he doesn't have to worry about his approval rating
He's not going to run for reelection, remember? That's why this little bastard is so damn dangerous. He doesn't have to softpedal his crap, he doesn't have to pussyfoot around his crimes, he gets to do the worst he can, and to hell with anybody who objects. Neener neener.

My guess is that terror alerts are a thing of the past and that we won't hear another thing about terror until the next big attack.

There will be a next attack. That much we do know.

4. Didn't think about that, Zenlitened.
Yeah, Colin Powell in Times Square. No terror alert.

Where did the terrorists go? Why were we so unsafe with regards to terrorism until Bush was "elected"?

3. I was thinking about this just yesterday.
It's amazing how safe and secure we are now! I'm SO HAPPY President Bush and Vice President Cheney are protecting us against terra.

What I wonder is why no one has come forward to leak the sham that is the Department of Homeland Security.

"Please hold for the President of the United States."

"Hello, Tom?"

"Yes. Hello, Mr. President!"

"Howdy pard'ner. I'm laggin' in them thar polls. You know, the, uh, polls. I think I heard that someone's going to take out Des Moines next week. Can ya, uh, ratchet that thang up to orange?

"Yes, sir Mr. President."

"Good boy, good boy. That's a good boy."

:eyes:

8. I've seen talk that it will be ratcheted
for the inauguration. Of course, that's just because of them "doe-mess-tick terraists," the demonstrators.

12. Don't worry. They'll be back when he makes his big SS "reform" push.
And they'll be back BIG TIME if they start the Draft.
