Buy a car or apply for credit -- Homeland Security is notified??
Just saw on my local news that car dealerships are required to submit names of car buyers or applicants for credit to Department of Homeland Security to be checked against the list of "suspicious" people.

Does ANYONE know what's in the Patriot Act II?

How long before home buyers will be screened in the same way?

2. I have zero credit cards
No car loan and no home loan.

And apparently, I won't have any of those things until I move to a free country.

5. When dealing with any
financial institution, your name is going to a database for review. An attorney handles the sale of my 70+ year old widowed mother-in-law said he had to report all of contractual dealings involving money transactions to the feds. That was almost 2 years ago!
