quick note: Ohio voting records no longer "public records"
Edited on Sat Dec-11-04 11:47 AM by annabanana
Did you hear that Ohio? a pretty big FU from Blackwell.
http://fairnessbybeckerman.blogspot.com/2004/12/blackwell-locks-out-recount-volunteers.html

Subject: Blackwell Locks Down Ohio Voting Records Breaking news, more to come. This afternoon, two election volunteers working with the Ohio recount were denied further access to public voting records in Greene County Ohio. At the Greene County Board of Elections in Xenia, two California women working with the recount coalition (CASE and the Green party) were copying public records and requesting access to other voting records, per Ohio statute. The Board was told by Secretary of State Blackwell's office to deny any further access to voting records, a clear violation of statute. Apparently, the quote was: "These records are no longer public. There is a lockdown on all Ohio voting records." Ohio is no longer the Ukraine. Ohio is now Soviet bloc and Blackwell has made his office the Politburo

I have voted in every election since tricky dick in 1968. the next election if they don't get rid of this electronic voting I will not be voting again. I talked to a lot of A.A during nov. trying to get out the vote, I was told that it didn't matter if they voted their vote wouldn't count do they know something that we don't

9. From the Columbus Dispatch
39 voting machines unused
17 never activated at inner-city precincts; officials not sure why

In a development that came to light just this week, several extra Franklin County voting machines earmarked for Columbus’ inner-city polling places on Election Day never made it inside.

Officials can’t say exactly why, but they suggest the polls may have been closed or poll workers told those delivering the machines that they could get along with the ones they had.

11. "In a development that came to light just this week ..."
And Republican officials wonder why we refer to them as troglodytes. "Officials can't say exactly why ..." Bull. They won't say exactly why.

What else are they hiding?

:wtf:

12. Prima facie case of election fraud.
-snip-
Ohio Revised Code Title XXXV Elections, Sec. 3503.26 that requires all election records to be made available for public inspection and copying. ORC Sec. 3599.161 makes it a crime for any employee of the Board of Elections to knowingly prevent or prohibit any person from inspecting the public records filed in the office of the Board of Elections. Finally, ORC Sec. 3599.42 clearly states: “A violation of any provision of Title XXXV (35) of the Revised Code constitutes a prima facie case of election fraud within the purview of such Title.”

16. Thanks
LiberalAndProud,

Thanks for the great news.

Hopefully, we will see everyone involved in the 2004 election fraud go to prison.. one by one. Especially the one at the top.

26. Great find! - Now who can we get to prosecute the criminal?
Really. Who can do it? Does it have to be the State's own Dept. of Justice?

14. Possible good news...
I think this can be good news.

Here we have someone that is obviously trying to conceal public records. No Judge in his right mind will allow this to continue.

I hope it is out of desparation and not just a delay tactic, so we can uncover the fraud with hard evidence.

Lets follow the money trail.

15. Still has to be "authority" that calls the judge
or brings it into court or gets an emergency stay on the certification of the vote.

17. I've been skeptical about voter fraud in this election
If this information is true, there can no longer be any reasonable doubt about this. There was election fraud!

21. The more Blackwell obstructs access to public info the more it looks
like there is something there that won't withstand public scrutiny. Otherwise, open the books if there is nothing to hide or fear.

As it is, there is enough evidence that a badly managed allocation of resources and voting machines conveniently suceeded in suppressing Democratic votes in some areas. That's bad enough. Blackwell's actions (again, if this is true) only succeed in further suggesting there is more he doesn't want public and that he's far from the impartial official he claims to be. (He's clearly not impartial by his actions.)

22. What??? Why is there NOTHING about this in the media?
This is bullcrap. It reeks of guilt to try to supress the recount and it should be talked about on every news show. I'm so disgusted right now. I've written TONS of letters to media over the past couple of years and I'm sure many of you have, too. They're still failing us, though.

27. Katherine Blackwell is NO Katherine Harris
Harris was a cool cookie. She had typical rich white woman gall and ice water for blood.

Blackwell is in this waaaaaaay over his head. He could easily crack where Harris held steady.

In many ways, this could be the repiglican version of Clinton and Lewinski ........ the entire future of a presidency resting on the fealty and cooperation of a person way out of their league. Clinton stupidly hoped a 25 year old groupie would hold his secret. Chimpus Khan has his pResidency hanging on the strength of a bureaucrat who now has the possibly of the world's shining the light of day on his cockroach antics.
