2. What a bunch of nonsense.
That whole article is permeated with the notion that the US is responsible for the North Korean famine, not the monstrous system of government that has existed since the country was founded.

"The Korean War claimed four million lives and left North Korean agriculture bombed to bits. According to historians, the U.S. military's mission in the North, called the 'scorched earth policy,' exhibited unprecedented brutality far worse than in Vietnam." Jesus Christ, the North started the fucking war!

"Despite their efforts to remain food sovereign, and because of events beyond their control, North Korea could not sustain the stranglehold of the United States. For five decades, the U.S. has pursued military and economic policies that have held 22 million North Koreans hostage and threatened them with nuclear annihilation."

AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! What a complete bunch of bullshit.

4. I've never seen
figures of 4 million dead, in any article or book about the Korean War. 2 million is the commonly quoted figure. The US did not drop nearly as many bombs on korea as they did in Vietnam or Cambodia. I think that is an exaggeration. Much of Korea was destroyed early in the war, when the North invaded the south and later during the countroffensive into the North. There was many people left refugees and there were food shortages, but that was the fault of all participants and the war. War destroys homes, crops, people, animals...and North korea, backed by Stalin started the war.

This is literally a peice of pro-NK garbage that is scarcely worth reading. it sounds like some far left activist is quoting NK propaganda.

5. I would definately say
A murdering dictator as your head of state doesn't do too well for the economy lol. The part I was trying to convey is that North Korea is trying to get nukes because the USA is still at war with them. After Bush's axis of evil speech I think we spooked them. Also, it is a way for them to bargain for food since we ignore them any other time. My hope is that we can sign an end to the war and end the arms race and hopefully when Kim Jong Il is gone a better leader will emerge.
