Hey is the footage that Bev and company got from FL online yet?
I went to blackboxvoting.com and they siad that they were no longer affliated with Bev Harris. I am confused, but I wanted to watch the footage for myself and send it to my friends.

Any links would be appreciated.

8. Can anyone here provide info or insight
as to WHY those two outfits are now sitting as far apart from each other as possible? We can handle adversity and even utter defeat, but venomous internal finger-pointing is even harder to handle. It is NOT what we need at this time. This is IMPORTANT!

6. The footage they have ready to see (from last summer) is at votergate.tv
...they are documenting everything for a coming feature film.

They are NOT promising to have "dailies" up.

5. Site you need is: www.blackboxvoting.org
First, it's a little soon to turn around the Florida footage.

Then, last time BBV tried to host the 30 minute version of Votergate, the site went down.

I would watch: www.votergate.tv for any developments.

It's not that BBV wouldn't like to host it, I just have a feeling that it becomes a target......

7. There won't be any
Until they sell the footage to someone. That's a private crew working to become the next "Michael Moore" so they won't be releasing anything without someone ponying up some dough to pay for the whole kit and kaboodle.

Several civil rights organizations asked for some of their footage from primaries and they wouldn't cough it up, even to protect African American communities from disenfranchisement.

These folks are in it for the money and fame, not democracy.

9. I agree
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 07:49 PM by Malva Zebrina
and I think that vulnerable and naive people are having the wool pulled over their eyes.

NO ONE of any authority or political import is investigating Florida votes yet, but those wishing to make people think they are doing something great for democracy by confiscating garbage bags and hinting that there is something in those bags that would prove voter fraud are assuming the role of a con man as far as I can determine.

They are supposedly non profit and non partisan, but to post on DU, and to garner support from DU certainly is not adhering to that claim at all.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

10. oh please, do you show the world your hand before all the cards
are dealt?

No. We'll see what happened when it can't be used to fuck the vote more than the republicans have already fucked it up.

in the meantime, the rethugs are fucking up ethical rules in congress to protect criminals. they are fucking up the economy more by raising the debt ceiling.

they are fucking up, and it's all their fault, with no one else to blame.

12. You Can't Play With a Stacked Deck
"NO ONE of any authority or political import is investigating Florida votes yet,"

OK, left to those you mention, nothing will happen. They are the ones that are covering it up or CYA'ing for their jobs.

It was NASS and NASED that signed off on the certification of these voting systems- the very officials in authority you'd complain to.

It was Congress that gave the go ahead for HAVA- Help anyone but America Vote Act. Congess that left the provisional ballot mess and Congress that ponied up our money for vendor profit at the expense of our votes- and democracy.

There have been people trying to bring this to the attention of the "officials" for a long time, working within the system. Working within the system contained the information and enabled the fraud.

This is how business games government at the expense of the people- and the people end up paying for it. Try it at a local level. Go ahead, stop, say, a surface mine that wants to go in next door to you. By the time you get through the process, you'll find you've been had because it's all about the county helping the business and you just have to find out what to do on your own. If you stay within "the system" and just deal with the authorities and those with political import, you've done exactly what they wanted you to do.

Get outside the system to shake up the system, because the system is not set up for John Q. Public to win.
