expect a visit from warren buffett
i just played some bridge with warren buffett online, as i've done a number of times in the past. i finally got up the nerve to put in a plug for du.

he made no promises (i wouldn't have expected any) but hope he will check us out nevertheless.

i'll let you know if he has anything to report next time i catch him at the card table!

:bounce:

1. Well, Warren...
If you have something to say, I will happily listen. Sure do hope you are in the mood for talkin' some common sense. Such a rare commodity, that.

9. lost -- this time.
a lot depends on the partner and a bit on luck over the relatively few hands i get to play with him.

he is a VERY solid player, and while i'm a "life master", i'll readily concede that he's stronger than i am.

bill gates, on the other hand, i can trounce without breaking a sweat :)

3. Off topic, but where do you play bridge on line?
I love playing bridge but don't have anyone to play with where I live now.

10. www.okbridge.com
it's $99/year, twice that if you want to be able to play in the many tournaments they hold every day.

the msn gaming zone also has a bridge club, but the quality of play as well as the quality of the software is much, much better at www.okbridge.com.

many national and world champions play on okbridge. on the other hand, novices are also welcome and you can choose to play only with your peers if you prefer.

4. We need some economics lessons or...

6. Warren... Buy Diebold... make the code open source
If we could get Warren to buy Diebold, Soros to buy Unilect, and Teresa Heinz Kerry to buy one of the others, we could make the code open to the public and have transparency in our elections.
