Coast Guard transfers woman because of racial discrimination

The Coast Guard is transferring a woman of Samoan heritage from its station here because she has been a victim of racial discrimination in the community, Commanding Officer Darrin Wallace said yesterday.

"There's a fear of when it's going to stop," Wallace told The Daily World of Aberdeen, about 10 miles west of this coastal town inside Grays Harbor. "Is it going to stop when they get hurt?"

"It had gotten to the point that she was afraid for her life and her family's safety," Mayor Michael Bruce told the City Council at Tuesday's meeting. "Her car was being keyed. Her family was being harassed. They have had no option but to leave."

A black Coast Guardsman was transferred out 18 months ago after contending that the city was unfit for minorities, City Administrator Randy Lewis said.

I think the mayors and gov. people in these towns must be complicit in the racism.

The cops in these towns are complicit if they are not arresting the purps.

and why is the Coast Guard not demanding the cops to take action?
