How can the international community reach out to ordinary Americans?

How can the international community reach out to ordinary Americans?

I would love to see some effort from other nations, particularly those in Europe to somehow promote cultural exchanges or interactions with Americans. I think parts of the US population are so isolated from the rest of the world.

Does anyone know of any kind of programs with this kind of goal?
