Is this what the US Military is not reporting
Obviously this is not from an embedded joiurnalist!!

Are Americans unable to stop this senseless killing of their owmn soldiers other than those Iraqi civilians?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3999899.stm

"Eyewitness: Defiance amid carnage"

"Clutching weapons

I also saw four crippled US tanks and three abandoned Humvees.

In Hasbiyyah, I found the bodies of eight US soldiers lying on the ground.

Some of them were badly mangled with various bits blown off. Others were in better condition, as if they had taken small-arms fire.

I noticed two of the US soldiers were still clutching their guns tightly across their chests. But most of their weapons were missing."

4. The above was from a BBC recognised correspondent
whom I have been reading on several issues.

It is obvious you cannot trust the American media.

Take them to task.

Contact local media sources and

1. Ring them and ask them to comment on the stories you get from international media.
2. Ask for answerts.
3. Brutalise them with your enquiries, by phoine, email, fax, till they start reporting the truth!!

Report their responses to such forums as this one.
Twell them you are doing just that.

When they realise you are all getting your news from truth sources, they will have to change!!

6. American media strive for profits not truth.
Our media is run by capitalists not truth-tellers. I fear the only people that still believe the American media are capable of telling the truth are those that are always shafted by the media. Namely us. e

2. US News
That is absolutely not what the US News is reporting. US News is saying that most of the Iraqi fighters have either been captured or left the city on their own.

As another thread said, we are going to have to fight very hard for our freedom of speech.

Are the American broadcasters being told what to say?

I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but this is very distressing. I'm hoping that perhaps somehow there is an explanation for the two differing points of view.

7. This is not Al Jazeera reporting
This is from a BBC Arabic speaking correspondent on the ground in the Fallujah.

He is not subject to media restrictions as the BBC corresponmdent (Paul Reynolds) with the US forces WHO IS CENSORED.

How long can the US live with lies and misinformation from your media?

8. well Jacob
if there was any sense of justice left here, our media would be held accountable, perhaps paying stiff fines or losing their licenses for false or deceptive reporting.
They are supposed to be the 'safeguard' of democracy.

9. Re: "Sorry about those dead guys"
I've heard an argument repeated among freeper-types, that deaths among American soldiers is somehow acceptable because the soldier death rate in Iraq is similar to the death rate of the youth population at home. The argument holds that essentially a young American is safer in Iraq that at homeand only lieberals, Demonrats and other such America-haters would have you believe that war is dangerous to soldiers.

Of course they never cite figures . Roves talking points hand out dosnt quote a source for this reprehensible argument.

Way to support the troops.

10. Link TV on Mosiac
Today on Mosiac-World New from the Middle East, they had basically the same report as the BBC report. Lebonon had actal footage of the car bomber racing towards the military convoy then blowing up. It showed the humvees burning and American Soldiers on the ground obviously dead. But this was after they had shown the US blowing up parts of Falujah.

Yesterday they were showing the Iraqi's burying their dead. Rows of dead being buried. In one scene they had a big box with about 5-6 children under the age of 6 being buried together with their fathers screaming to the sky. It was horrible to watch and then to think that this is what the Middle East is seeing and our citizens are freaking clueless. Just awful.

12. Amazing. It's like the media doesn't think Americans can handle it.
This is "newsworthy" stuff.

14. I wondered about this same thing....
Even if scores of American soldiers were killed in Fallujha, would the American media even report it? They've covered up Iraqi civilian deaths pretty effectively....

15. What are the loved ones of those soldiers told?
Are they "MIA"? What happened to never leaving a soldier behind?

I did hear that ten of our soldiers, and two Iraqi soldiers, have been killed (this was yesterday).

I also heard that half the Iraqi forces went AWOL.
