Can we petition to be annexed by Canada?

That looks like a way to get all the blue states together. If the blue states simply seceded, the two coasts would be divided. Annexation by Canada would solve that problem. It would be interesting to see how the red states do without us.

I love Canada.
I try to think about this realistically. If Red America hates us so much, you'd think they'd be happy to make some sort of deal so we can split. Then it would be so much easier for them to enact their neanderthal legislation, etc. All their right-wing dreams could come true!!!
Of course, they'd become a third-world country really fast. We and the rest of the world would probably end up having to boycott them or impose sanctions, etc. because of some barbaric thing or another they try. (Reinstating slavery, perhaps? They'll start slow...indentured servants first, maybe.)
The only thing I'd regret is Florida. I sure do love those white, sandy beaches on the west coast and panhandle, and Ybor City is awesome.

the south would LOVE to get revenge for the civil war, and would reish DECIMATING the northeast especially.

sure, we've got half the population, but we're more densely packed and therefore more vulnerable.

plus, with nukes about, while this is a fun fantasy, it's unfortunately a very dangerous idea....
