He started as an FDR Democrat and, don't get me wrong, I loathe the motherfucker only slightly less than Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mussolini, but think of all the good he could have done had he stayed a democrat. We'd never have had a conservative elected ever again! As far as politicking goes, he had mad skillz.

Democrat. I knew an actor who was a member of SAG when Reagan was President. Everything Reagan did was reward the studios at the expense of the actors. That is how a Republican does things. I guess somewhere along the line he realized he really was a corporate whore so he became a Republican.
