Who am I to complain about folks voting against their self-interest?
I have been pretty vocal about a lot of folks who vote for Bush* against their own self-interest. Blacks, women, gays/lesbians, veterans, active-duty military, library patrons, etc. etc.

Then I saw a post from Walt Starr this morning, saying how HE fits the demographic for a Republican, and I started thinking, hey! so do I!

- white
- Southerner
- relatively well-off
- no draft-age children
- gun-owner
etc.

So why the fuck am I a Democrat? What is my major malfunction?

And who the hell do I think I am criticising folks who vote against-the-grain?

WHY DO I GIVE A SHIT?????

Eh, I didn't get enough sleep last night.

1. You're like me, you have voted for what's right
But the very folks we're trying to help voted against what is right, so again, why give a fuck?

If the Democrats are smart, they can pull it together. Watch the minority leader choice in the Senate. If they choose another Senator from a Red State or Joe Lieberman, I'm walking away from the party. It may be time to rgister as a Republican and start working from within the majority party.

2. INDEED...watch the choice for minority leader...
This country will either get enveloped into the darkness or get ripped in half.

3. because Dems DO give a fuck
it's all that separates us from the evil ones. If one truly doesn't give a fuck, then he/she should go ahead and join the grand ole party. Shit, you only live once, right? Go ahead and partay with the fuckers who don't give a fuck.

4. Bush Managed to get
the majority of working class votes last time - (AND this time no doubt) even though he harms them. That says something about our country (along with 50 other things). We (liberals, etc.) don't need to feel guilty about what went wrong on 'OUR' side. We BUSTED our ASSES. The blame is on the people who are too chickenshit/lazy to educate themselves.
