My friend is writting a play thats pretty powerful(anti Bush)

He writting it for school & hopes to have it run as a one act play by spring. It takes place in October 2004. A young man who's got everything going for him says he's going to committ sucide if Bush wins a second term. He has it all planned out & his family, friends,etc is taking him seriously. He hasn't figured out the end yet, but hearing him describe it sounds very powerful. Any suggestions I can pass along?

1. tell him to wait for election day.

if he's basing it on current events, it would make sense to let the events play out...

otherwise, it will be instantly dated.

2. The ending I envision:

The vote seems very close & the repubs are fighting with lawsuit after lawsuit. The young man gives up & commits suicide. The next day the truth comes out (found ballots, fraud, etc.) that Kerry won by a landslide.
