Boston police take "complete responsibility" for death of woman
How bizarre. People in authority taking full responsiblity for a tragic event and apologizing. Not trying to blame the violent fans who forced a police presence. Not trying to pretend it didn't happen. Not insisting the woman is still alive and doing just fine and that the whole thing is being distorted by a biased, pessimistic media. Simply taking responsibility, expressing deep regret, apologizing, and investigating the incident. Am I on Mars?

2. Not really
Honor is not completely forgotten here in America. Honor is often served by humility ... a simple, sincere "we screwed up and have to do better" ... the Boston Police are teaching us that lesson now.

7. Boston cops are lethal,
and the girl is still dead.

I still have not forgiven them for that Charles Stuart crap.
Or inflicting Mueller on the rest of the US.

8. But at least in this case
they are owning their shit. I am not all that familiar with the Boston cops ... I bow to your superior knowledge.

5. A friend told me, 'They must have it on film.' And sure enough..
It's easier to take responsibility when you have visual evidence preventing you from denying, isn't it?

... But that said, this is still showing decency to the devastated family, so style points there.

9. complete responsibility? Really? They're standing trial for manslaughter?
Well, that IS different. Let me know when the indictments start coming down the pike.
