If Kerry sees the bulge in Chimpy's suit tonight, he WINS the election if
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 11:17 AM by ElementaryPenguin
He says, "Mr. President, there's a nasty rumor making its way around the internet that one of us is wired for sound - in complete violation of the rules for these debates. I'm removing my jacket (as he removes his jacket) to prove that I'm not guilty, would you care to do the same? I'm sure you won't mind simply removing your jacket as I have just done - in order to prove once and for all that these outrageous allegations are completely unfounded. I think the American people need to be assured of this."

As Chimpy pauses to assume his patented deer-in-the-headlights look, and begins to sweat bullets - he will be virtually trapped - with the pressure mounting as he refuses (as he must) to do likewise. His failure to simply remove his jacket will be seen by the average person as nothing less than a total confession. With the stakes so high in this final debate, he is going to HAVE to be wired. If he complies, and is found to be wearing nothing visible, Kerry can still quip, "I never believed you were wired - no one would have actually fed you such ridiculously weak answers."

Again, if Kerry sees the bulge, or if one of his people sees it and can signal to him, he MUST go in for the kill, and expose the cheating Smirky, who would be cheating him and the public out of a fair debate, with the whole election at stake. The game, set, and match would absolutely be over at that very moment!

Make no mistake about it, Kerry really must finish off Bush with a knockout tonight, and not with any mild "prevent defense" approach!

2. Yeah and if there's nothing there
Then Kerry looks like the biggest fool to ever walk the earth. I think Kerry should stay as far away from this as possible and let people speculate-- everyone loves a good mystery.

for Kerry's whopper of a quip! Not only that THERE IS SOMETHING THERE! Furthermore, Kerry (nor anyone else) could ever look like the "biggest fool to walk the earth" while standing next to Smirky.

5. Exactly.
Never go out on a limb like that unless you know, for a fact, the answer/outcome of the question.

from behind his tie in the second debate?

22. * will wear a back brace, or some other device to make Kerry look bad.

This would backfire. * will NOT wear anything that bulges tonight (Flightsuit notwithstanding)unless he wants Kerry to call him on it.

It should be brought to the moderators attention by someone else.

Unless the moderator is already bought and paid for.

18. Kerry can frisk him.
When they shake hands, Kerry can pat Bush on the back RIGHT BETWEEN THE SHOULDER BLADES. If he feels something, especially if it starts making some beeping noises, he'll know he can go in for the kill.

Better yet: Kerry could carry a little transmitter in his left hand (like one of those old joke buzzers) and run it up and down the ridge in Bush's back. Then watch as Bush makes lots of funny faces as his ears get blown out by the electronic interferrence.

6. this falls into a trap
If the Bush people, expecting something like this, make a special jacket with some sort of frame in the cloth which can be collapsed when it is removed, then Kerry would hurt himself greatly.

The odds greatly favor Kerry now. Why risk it?

7. He would have to frame it a bit differently though
Remember, by the rules, assuming he will abide by them, he can't direct a question directly to *. Kerry would have to deliver it more like a statement to no one in particular.

9. Anybody see John Edwards on Jay Leno last night?
Jay showed the picture to Edwards of Bush with the lump on his back under his suit. He asked him what he thought was on his back?

Edwards quickly replied, "His batteries?"

Damn, cute and a sense of humor too.
That lucky Elizabeth.
And, it sure slapped that silly setup back to Jay.

25. All Kerry has to do
..is yank the dolt's arm and give the weewee a strong, manly slap on the back like he did at the first debate, where he TURNED OFF the device, leaving weecowboy to blubber and fend on his own!

For want of a wire, the debate was lost!

In truth, all Kerry has to do is what he has been doing. The topic is DOMESTIC POLICY. I'm sure all of the people who STILL ARE NOT WORKING but HAVE DROPPED OFF THE UNEMPLOYMENT ROLLS because their BENEFITS HAVE RUN OUT will be watching...along with all the aged people who have seen a 17 PERCENT RISE in their medicare expenses, the PARENTS WHO COMPETE WITH THEIR KIDS for MCDONALD's JOBS, the families of DEAD SOLDIERS, and people who are sick of being TREATED LIKE SUSPECTS when they have done nothing wrong, except maybe to register as a Democrat!

27. VERY DANGEROUS! He should pat Georgie's hump and then simply
cock an eyebrow very theatrically, Spock-like (or Jack Nicholson-like).

Everyone will get the message, and he doesn't expose himself to ridicule if it turns out to be something innocuous like some GI-Joe pull-string or something.

Nothing overt, nothing risky... people can continue to speculate if they're so inclined.

*If* there is something in there, that knowing pat would really rattle Bush.

40. Has the bulge been disproven as a wireless mike?
I've heard about this bulge- but honestly haven't given it much thought. The first thing that comes to mind is that we often use wireless microphones in television production-- I work in TV, BTW.

I saw the photo of the bulge on Bush's back-- it looks about the same size and shape as a wireless mike. This would be a certain necessity if the speaker was to walk away from the podium-- and away from any fixed mikes that he might be speaking into.

Personally, I don't think Bush used an earpiece because he just didn't do that well in the debates. If he was then the guy on the other end needs to get a new job because he wasn't feeding very good lines / ideas / comebacks / numbers, etc...
