Should I just tell them I'd like to formally request that they discontinue their advertising on Sinclair?

How should I prepare myself?

1. Most important thing
is to be nice! The person you talk to may be an undecided voter!

I would start out saying what you wrote. If they act confused, then elaborate. Point them to boycottsbg.com or one of the other sites. Have some info in front of you (like the LA Times story, for instance) that you can quote if you need to.

But above all, be as friendly as you have ever been in your life.

2. i emailed all of the advertisers whose products i use.
i let them know that I thought the behavior was unacceptable and that corporate behavior plays a role in my purchasing decisions.

I let Iams and Corona know that there are other choices right there on the grocery shelf and I let Circuit City know that there is a Best Buy right up the block. etc....

3. Done, she said that she's gotten a number of calls
She said that she's gotten some mean E-mails. I said "I'm not trying to be mean" She said, no, no that's what makes the country great.
