Detroit News running articles about how Bush admin is screwing people

The Detroit News (our conservative paper) has been running a series of articles about how the Bush tax cuts has lead to big cuts in programs that help people including job training while seeing 240,000 jobs leave the state. I'm very surprised by this move and see take it as an encouraging sign. Hopefull it'll sink in with voters in November. Ironically our more liberal paper is the Free Press which has the nickname "The Freep"!

1. Who knew?

The same money used for social programs, such as training, were also helpful to the economy. How much longer before the conservatives figure out that Democratic controlled governments did a better job of putting money in the hands of people who would spend it and help with their supply-side economics? How much longer before conservatives figure out that if providing for the poor is a Christian value, a Democratic-controlled government is far more efficient than any church in this county?
