Insider Blows Whistle on Irregularities at Voting Machine Company
(Mods: I am not positive about whether I get to qualify as a news source, though I have been a source of news for a while. This is a breaking story that just went up, and will probably be picked up later by the usual sources. If you feel you must move this to GD until then, my feelings won't be hurt.)

I have come into possession of a pair of letters written by a former Hart-Intercivic technician to the Secretaries of State for Ohio and Texas. These letters detail a "long history of concealing problems" and a willingness to ignore potentially serious problems "largely for the sake of corporate profit".

The tech worked for H-I for over two years and left voluntarily because of what he believed to be "criminal fraud, extreme negligence, and a distinct and troubling pattern of failure to uphold the public trust both in violations of the spirit of its contracts also in concealing problems in an industry which so crucially represents the public interest."

5. Yes, Bev's Press Conference Last Week
I expected banner headlines on all the major papers and there seemed to be no word or interest.

7. Thanks--2 swings
Sorta (CO is probably a somewhat comfortable shade of light blue, I think, I hope).

Any idea of the # of votes there and in Ohio we have to worry about from this newfound malfeasance?

Think it will help your release story to prominently give an idea of how many voters affected. Sorry if I missed that in the link, I'm frazzled and have had it for the day.

Cheers. (Ha. Your sig brings a laugh--I've also frequently manned the CEO/Janitor position).

12. Fancy that! Sen. Elizabeth Dole is from Catawba County, NC..only county
in NC that has this type of machine. Salisbury, NC, the county seat, is where Elizabeth Hanford Dole is from.....

....and my ex-husband is from there, too. Their families were friends.

I'm just sayin'...... fancy that about the voting machines.

If it is what does it mean? Is the major press going to cover this now? I'm sending it to Lou Dobbs....
