Falwell says that Evangelicals now dominate
Edited on Sun Sep-26-04 09:03 PM by Zorbet55
the GOP. That's great to hear. A religious sect now dominates an American political party. Sure I jest and admittedly I do. This smacks of Europe during the Middle Ages. America must be poised to establish its holy kingdoms all over the world. The Holy American Emperor will be appointed by the GOP and Pope Falwell. Education for our nation's children will become an imposition on the Holy Crown and only worship will be required for citizenship. Science will be terminated for its innocuous heresy. Heresy will be punishable by torture and death.

Please alert your Republican friends and family of this recent news proclaimed by Pope Falwell. Advise them that they are needed for a higher cause now. Unless we want to end up like the barefoot peasants of "The Wizard of Id", we had better get busy. Grab your torches, maces, and an axe. We must revolt while liberty and time permits. Mr Jefferson, Mr Paine, Mr Adams, Mr Madison....I will rally to save our nation. :hippie:

Redefeat Bush/Cheney/Ashcroft/Falwell

1. As A Religious Young Girl in the 70's I adored Falwell
He had a Sunday night late nite TV show in which he talked about our role in helping the needy, the hungry, the poor. I sent him donations because of his compassion to the needy.

Today, with his war pandering and pandering to the rich and his reversal on caring for the needy, he makes me puke. He left Christ's side for the other side.

3. I know a lot of good people who fell into his trap
sending money they couldn't afford because he talked about helping the needy. Meanwhile, he was building more TV studios and buying up TV stations and the needy saw half a cent of every dollar he took in, just enough so that he could point to a few things here and there in his sermons.

Now, of course, he doesn't talk about that stuff any more. He's got his empire, and he's after the big money from rich men who are trying to bribe their way out of hell.

I have no idea what happens to us after we die. I just am completely convinced that Fallwell and his supporters and sycophants are in for a very big surprise.

4. Then quickly..... we must assemble an army
We will attack Falwell's fortresses at dawn. Lynchburg Va is sacred land that Falwell is not worthy of standing on. Our Army of Washington will storm his estates. Send the alarm to every middlesex, village and farm. Peasants, it's time for Revolution.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

6. As one of the few DU'ers with "Heretic" in his user name, may i say......
This is EXACTLY what he has been working toward for at LEAST a decade.....and it isn't far from the truth.

Today i caught a bit of D. James Kennedy's "Coral Ridge Ministries" broadcast as i drove through Tennessee. This guy ACTIVELY SPREADS LIES both on his websites (www.coralridgeministries.org www.reclaimamerica.org) among others to the effect that ....get this.....

THE BIBLE IS A FOUNDING DOCUMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!

yes...he said that in a prayer broadcast today.................

I was raised Episcopalian. I am now Atheist. I have no need for the particular superstition that involves anthropomorphic Deity worship. Having said that, i pose the following questions;

Is there truth and goodness to be gained from the bible?
Yes. No doubt.
Do men like Kennedy, Falwell, Robertson et al really want things the average, critical thinking person (right OR left leaning) wants?
Not unless they think Afghanistan ca 2000 was an admirable political state.

10. Walk on water. That's what Jesus did to convince the
doubters. Anyone else who wants to convince me that they have the ear of some diety I might care about smiting me, better do the same thing.

11. Fuck Falwell.
He's a self-righteous hypocrite piece of shit who's about as threatening as a stewed prune. The herd of morons following him only exist to fuel the apocalyptic christian entertainment machine, consisting of dogmatic garbage such as the Left Behind series of shit. I wish terminal explosive diarrhea on him.
