Political killings or Plane accidents?
Edited on Thu Aug-28-03 05:59 AM by CoffeePlease1947
It is interesting how no politicians have been shot in the last few decades. Yet, the number of politicians that have been killed in plane accidents has skyrocketed during the same period of time.

Senators Heinz and Wellstone died in plane crashes. The Governor of Missouri died in a plane crash. Three US Representatives of the House died in one crash. The Governor of Idaho was killed in a plane crash. Ron Brown, Secretary of Commerce died in a plane crash. Even JFK Jr. died in a plane crash. Countless numbers of US Representatives, local politicians, state representatives, and numbeous other high profile polticians have died in plane crashes. When you ask yourself, how many people do I personally know that have died in a plane crash? You find it quiet impossible for so many people of high political postions dying to be by chance alone.

Check these links out and see how many people have died in fluke plane crashes that were politicians and what the odd would be.

1. Glad to see a reference to Jerry Litton, from Missouri
in your list.

From an article on Mel Carnahan:

(snip) The crash was an eerie replay of an accident two decades ago in which Democratic congressman Jerry Litton was killed along with his family in a plane crash in the northwest part of the state on the evening he won the Missouri's Democratic gubernatorial nomination. (snip/)

The entire Kansas City area was simply stunned when this happened the very night he was nominated. He was definitely a rising star Democrat.

2. Right Wing folks do not die in plane crashes - seems a bit odd
Way too small a sample size for any conclusions, but ....

:-)

10. Actaully, calculate the number of US Senators and divide by the number
that died in a plane crash. Then compare that number to the total population that died in a plane crash. You will find that you have 1000% greater chance of dying in a plane crash as a US Senator then as a regular senator. Same thing for Governors and high ranking members of State Legislatures.

11. Actuallty,
Congressman Larry McDonald -- a rabid right winger -- died when the Soviets shot down Korean Airline Flight 007.

Also, John Kerry's wife Teresa Heinz was once married to Republican Sen. John Heinz, who died in a helicopter crash.

Look, members of Congress fly little puddle-jumper airplanes a helluva lot more than the general public because they use them to get around their districts, so it stands to reason that a few of them will be lost to aircraft accidents. It's not like they're dropping like flies anyway. We're talking a handful of deaths in the last half century.

3. Several plane crashes looked like they had they same sabatour.
JFK, Jr, Ron Brown's, and Paul Welstone's planes all appeared to crash from the same mysterious cause.

Which, if I were an assassin working for Bush, I would do by simply crimping, or repeatedly bending, (to cause metal fatigue) the wire that controls the plane's rudder. Another way might be to place a homing beacon in the wrong place on the ground.

Bush Sr pardoned a known Cuban airplane bomber, who killed 76 Cuban civilians. I believe Bush called the terrorist bomber a 'freedom fighter.'

Having a freak plane crash with a Republican politican in it, is as rare as having a Republican Senator recieve anthrax in the mail. It just doesn't happpen.

5. Ron Brown's plane
crashed into a mountain. JFK Jr's into the sea. What's the same "mysterious cause?"

7. Both were un explained.
If the planes were sabatoged in the ways I discribed, (so that they suddenly can no longer be steered,) or so that they were guided by a false beacon, as I also just discribed, then you would get the plane to eventually collide with the earth, whether the earth consisted of ocean, flat land, or mountain side.

I'm not a pilot, but these crashes, which killed these political rivals to the Bush family, seemed odd to me.
