it's getting hard to watch sports on TV
first I tried to wathc the Ryder cup matches, and was treated to Ben Crenshaw wearing a cap that said "W 2004". then I switched to the Bears' pre-game and all the hosts were wearing tie pins that seemd to say "43".

Is there anywhere to go to escape the Smirk campaign?

1. I don't watch professional sports at all....it's just a dog and pony show
of greed and banality.

2. Sports? Do they still play those things?
The last time I was interested in sports was when the Suns were in the NBA finals.

3. If it's any consolation, George W. Bush and Alan Keyes will
be creamed in Illinois on November 2, 2004.

4. Head line in today's Houston Chronicle
"Sports execs find themselves on the same team - GOP"

Rant: That says it all for me. I lost interest in Pro sports years ago. They take all the fun out of sport. It is not just the winning it's making as much money as possible. Yuck! They don't get any thing from me and I wish the rest of the fans would send the same message to these yahoos. And then maybe fun and excitement could return to sports and entertainment in general.

5. Women's sports
Try the LPGA, the WNBA and the newly formed pro softball league once it's up and running. Most of the higher profile WNBA players are Dems, from what I understand. (and it makes sense if you consider the attacks on women's sports and Title 9 by the right wingers).

6. Watch the ryder cup and root for yurp
That's what i do. Most american pro-golfers are rw loons and i hate them even though i like golf. Tiger is ok but the captain Hal Sutton is repulsive. Big fat slob that wears a cowboy hat all the time. He's a lot like bush - he talks tough and loves to swagger and is yellow all the way thru.
