On CNN just now, Bill Schneider spoke of how the terrorists have always been aware of our elections, and how they held on to the hostages until Reagan was elected.

This is so f'ing disengenious - everyone has known for years about the role of the new administration in that plot to swing the election. It had nothing to do with the Iranians, and everything to do with the Republicans.
