Does the rest of the world view the US as "empire builders"?
I just read an op-ed piece written before the invasion and the author was concerned that our "invasion could create even worse regional problems than the current ones". He was worried that most of the rest of the world appears to view it as American empire building, rather than a strategic necessity. Does Kerry mention this aspect?

5. Absolutely
And it's true.

Read the Project for The New American Century's September 2000 position paper, “Rebuilding America's Defenses; Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century” which laid out their rationale and plans for an American Empire. (link below)

I have a few friends who travel to Europe regularly who are ALL now LIHOP'ers - from escaping the American spin machine and being exposed to the European media.

A copy of the Project for the New American Century's September 2000 report titled "Rebuilding America's Defenses; Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century" can be viewed at http://www.newamericancentury.org/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf

Duh? Of course were empire building we need as many oil nations as we can get. You don't see us helping out the same way in Sudan do you? DO YOU? We're guzzling the stuff at an enormous rate and the Bushies need to keep corporate America going. Too bad that daddy Bush recognized that, as bad as he was- - -and he was bad- - -Saddam was a stabilizer in the area against Iran and those Shiites. Give this mess Bushy boy played out three years for the Civil war to finish and Iran will be one monster Theocratic country of Shiites. He isn't doing the Israelis any favors. Well maybe he is, because he has us entrenched in the area longer that Britain was in the early part of the 20th century because, remember, WE NEED THE OIL
