Criminals reign in our Corporations & Markets while Martha goes to Jail!
Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 10:58 AM by KoKo01
Today Martha Stewart asked the Judge in her case to let her serve her time in jail and house arrest. She is giving up her Appeal so she can go on with her life.

Meantime, Ken Lay, Jeffrey Skilling and hundreds of Company CEO's and Board Memebers who stole millions from their shareholders enjoy their lifestyles by extending appeals or by "settling" with the SEC.

Martha was a Woman who dared to compete in a Man's world by making "Homemaking" a business. They and the Christian right showed where their values are. "Railroaded" was what one MSNBC Lawyer said. But,I guess what it comes down to is that she needs to serve as an example for America than one person can take the rap for hundreds as an example that "crime doesn't pay"

Disgusting...

2. Get used to it. If the Busheviks finish with Amerika there will be MANY
examples made to show the dangers of not being with The Party.

Busheviks = Bolsheviks

Period. Except for just a tiny bit of basic economic philosophy.

Orwellian Double-Standards in all things reign in Totalitarian Nations like Imperial Amerika. And we aren't even close to finishing the transition from Democratic-Republic to Theocratic Empire.

Not even close.

These are, very likely, the Good Old Days.

3. Lay & the boys will get theirs, it just takes longer. Martha was
just dumb. She went before Congress and opened her mouth. Why do you think all the others took the 5th? Is all this right? Of course not, but I've worked for several companies where there was some kind of major investigation. I learned A LOT!

Never write ANYTHING that you wouldn't feel comfortable seeing on the evening news!

Even if caught, DENY EVERYTHING!

IF asked anything, say you don't remember.

Honesty is NOT the best policy.

GET AN ATTORNEY FIRST...AND LISTEN TO HIS ADVICE!!!!

4. I remain skeptical of her guilt.
She looks at her email history when any good crook would not have an email history -- they would be deleted as soon as it was read. A lying FBI agent testified against her purporting notes were written at different times to a scientific certainty. They present an unprecedented trial that seems it may have inured her guilt without proof.

And now her appeals are dragged out so long that she deems it better for herself, her company, and stockholders to take an undeserved jail sentence rather than wait for "justice system" in this country.

Perhaps the appeal should move faster so the judge and the justice system do not seem any more stupid than they already look.

6. we should never stop repeating that this was a politically
motivated prosecution, because IT WAS. And believe me, Oprah has taken notice.
