As told by my friend:

Friend was walking in the environs of Central Park, with another friend (it is good to have an eyewitness for these things).

A big-ass SUV pulls up by the side of the road (always appreciated by others when driving through Central Park, NOT), and a woman with a big-ass bouffant sprau 'do sticks her head out the window and drawls:

"Do you know how to get to Times Square?"

Friend: "Are you here for the GOP convention?"

Woman: (beaming) "Yes, I am!"

Friend: "Well, then you're a Republican, aren't you? You believe in self-sufficiency, right? Find it your damn self."

Reportedly she had no comeback.

I do hope the next person she asked directed her to the South Bronx. better yet, the New Jersey Turnpike.
