MSNBC JUST did a story on the "Riot Police" and security around the convention..

ATTENTION!

One of the new "tools" cops will have is a TV CAMERA embedded in their "Riot Helmets"

its right in the front and a tiny camera lense that will be recording EVERYTHING!

lots of protesters should have hidden mini-cams and recorders.
I have a bad feeling about the RNC. I am certain that there
will be violence, probably instigated by RNC covert operators.
We need to have our side of the story recorded as well.

7. Watch out for that shit -- cops go after the guys with cameras first

I've SEEN it happen. The cops see a protestor with a camera, they'll run right over and take it away by force. They remove the film/videotape, drop the camera on the ground, and laugh in your face. So if you bring a videocamera, make sure you have friends covering you, ready to get in the way if a cop decides he doesn't like the look of your lens.

When they beat up the elderly lady who was just passing by.

Back during the Seattle WTO, a group of young women protestors were packing up the car and heading home (the protest was over, this was some distance from the riot.) As they prepared to pull out of their parking spot, a police officer approached their car, tapped on the window, and asked them to lower it. As the girl lowered the window to see what the officer wanted, the officer said, "tape this, bitch!" and proceeded to pepper-spray the girls in the face. Caught all on tape, of course.

If my memory serves me correctly, there was an investigation that went nowhere, the police officer was fired by the mayor, the police officer and the police union sued for unlawful termination, won, and the cop still works for the SPD to this day.
