Edited on Tue Aug-24-04 06:23 PM by KoKo01
Kerry/Bush Swift Boat Stuff?

I there anyone left who has tuned it all out for the duration? I check in from "time to time," but have NOT "tuned in."

I'm amazed to see so many DU'ers back feeding at the Media Whore...pig trough..where on waits to see if they talk about So. Koreans calling Bush an "Idiot," Rumsfeld a psychopath, and Cheney and others..stuff I won't post for fear the "feds" will come after me.

Anyway...our enemies are calling Bush Administration Foul Names...but the Media who reports it all are "foul names," to me..

Are you still hooked to the Cables?

2. Many DU'ers don't even have cable...being smarter than the rest of us,
I think... But,I keep paying the $50.00 a month for what I only do a "peek" at thinking I want to be there when the Bush Admin. Implodes and I can gloat and cheer and strip off my clothes and run naked through the streets.

Lately, I'm thinking, it's NOT going to come to that. And, I'm being ripped off to the Max..because I don't really watch it. I rent or own all the videos I could watch...why should I keep paying "Time-Warner" when they don't care about ME?

4. If I wasn't addicted to Six Feet Under
I might be convinced to give up cable.

3. I'm Totally Media Free
and have been since 3 or 4 days after 9/11. I have literally not watched one frame of any national news of any kind since then. I get my news primarily from DU and from the local paper.

6. It has been almost a year now.
I must tell you though, today, I turned on CNN when someone posted he was on. One minute later when they cut off his speech I turned it back off and cursed myself for even thinking they would cover the whole thing.

7. No, not back.
I don't get the networks on my satellite, by choice. I don't do tv news; not now, not in the last 3 1/2 years. I haven't even been reading the paper. After 23 years of reading my local paper, a right-wing rag, I got pissed and canceled my subscription.

I look at headlines on my computer; I made the mistake of clicking on one about the campaigns today. The blatant propaganda disgusted me.

I check in now and then with a few other news sources on my computer; I listen to NPR on the radio a couple of times a week. Other than that, I'm news-free. I won't stay this disconnected forever; I'm just at the point where I'm not hearing anything that encourages me. It doesn't help to have my nose rubbed in it over and over.
