Where to find Kerry's book: "The New Soldier" ?
I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere but eBay, and they usually sell for a couple hundred $$ on eBay (ouch!). Does anyone know where I can find it - or is it something I shouldn't bother to read? Why hasn't it been published again?

1. Sounds like you know the answer to your question.
So why are you asking it?

2. Huh?
??

Are you saying that eBay is the only place to get it?

Why hasn't it been published again?

3. I was thinking of looking for it, too, after reading "tour of duty"
and the high cost you mentioned on ebay is what I assumed so I never really pursued it. I would REALLY like to read it though.

4. If you find it, let me know...
I checked my local library and it wasn't there either. I still don't know why no one has republished it. I'd think it would sell well...

5. i will see if i can do an intra-library search/loan type of thing
here in CT for it.I am not sure what libraries here in CT would be included in the "system" (yale library in new haven would be nice!!) I really don't feel like spending big bucks for it. I will bookmark this thread so i can get in touch with you IF/WHEN i find anything. I am curious as hell to see this book.

6. A couple of hundred sounds cheap
Bookfinder.com has copies ranging from $750 to $2500 (!)

There are library catalog links at http://www.libdex.com/

7. $750 to $2500?!
Why is this book so expensive and hard to find?! The demand to get it is obviously there, otherwise it wouldn't be fetching a few hundred on eBay and "$750 to $2500" elsewhere... sounds like some publishing company can make a bundle if they sell it.

I'd like to read Kerry's book, but I don't have a few hundred $$ to spend on it. :s

9. Go to this page:
http://www.worldcatlibraries.org/wcpa/ow/18d1f75e765c9626.html

And type in a postal code, state, province or country, etc and it will show you the closest library offering the book.

No public libraries near me seem to have it, but the University library has it.

16. The segment that points out the trial of William Calley is interesting.
Not from the book but here's a link about the man mentioned:

http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/mylai/myl_bcalleyhtml.htm

Interesting that this man was pardoned by Nixon considering what he had done.
