My customer told Laura Bush she can't shop at her store
A customer of mine from DC has a very cool gallery/store in Wash., DC. Last year about 2 weeks before Christmas the secret service came to check the place out. The following week she gets a call asking if Laura and a friend can come shopping on Saturday ( the Saturday before Christmas, biggest shopping day of the year, mind you). And is it ok if she brings the dog?(!) Customer said no (she would of course have had to close the shop to all her other customers). Duh. Besides, she confided in me, "I have a Howard Dean sign in my window and I'm giving my money to Kerry. Bush gets another four years, there won't be any stores left!" I thought this was a good story to share, hope you enjoyed. I just got back from a week in NYC which is where I heard the story. Ireally miss you guys when I go away. AND the hotel didn't get the Daily Show. Major withdrawal all the way around!

1. Tell her to look both ways before crossing the street.
Laura has a reputation, you know.

And her weapon of choice is the automobile.

How was the show for you and yours? My main 2 companies did OK- but foot traffic definitely down all over the country at shows everywhere.

7. Dear heavens
who would want to be connected to what the frump chooses to wear? Definately bad publicity should it ever get out.

If I were this woman, I would have said no also, even if I were a Republican. Laura chooses to wear a size eight that is too tight around the waist and that emphasizes her fat ass, when she is really a size 14 because she thinks it looks sexy or something-who knows why -- maybe she does not have a mirror-she has the fashion taste that reminds me of a woman's dress in Stalin's Russia--she should wear white anklet socks to make her outfits complete.

15. I had every intention of coming to see the review
Alas, it was not to be. I love NY but I mostly get to see the Javits Center when I'm there. I really need to take a pleasure trip to the city. Sorry I missed the review!

11. Even a newbie can see this story is bogus...
Duh. Besides, she confided in me, "I have a Howard Dean sign in my window and I'm giving my money to Kerry.

Are you saying in Dec. Deanies were already giving their money to Kerry???

13. I don't get it.
Your saying this story is false and this person is a lier?

I believed it. I don't know the person so I assumed it was true.

I hope you take the time to find out before you do the ole "Freeper Alert" routine. I have to wonder how many innocent people have been booted because of an overzealous investigator.

28. I didn't claim to have friend who posted a Dean sign and gave money to Ker
you did!

The initial post said Duh. Besides, she confided in me, "I have a Howard Dean sign in my window and I'm giving my money to Kerry....how was I to know that just because you set the story a few weeks before Christmas, I should see that you have now jumped forward??

Perhaps I am blind...but I don't think so. You sure won't win swing voters by lying to them.

has more credibility than you. Why would you come on a board and start calling longtime posters liars? Certainly no way to win friends and influence people.
