2. The additional 3 are as follows

1 - US Marine reported killed in Al-Anbar Province (08/17)
2 - US Marines reported killed in Al-Anbar Province (08/15) - Previously unreported.

All these reports came in at the same time, thus the update.

6. DoD is keeping us very busy

DoD just gave out the names awhile ago; 2 of the deaths happened Sunday, and of course NOT A SINGLE PEEP out of Centcom or the US State Media.

Pat & Michael do the posting on the IC blog, and myself and a few others help with the hunting down of casualty info.

Pat & Mike have done such a SUPERB job!!! Can I brag on them for a mo? Ta! They have been interviewed by just about every media around about the IC; including the BBC and I believe the Guardian UK, as well as US media; Pat was interviewed on telly; and the IC is used as the link to casualties by just about every media source around.

Aaaand...a couple months ago, the National Library of Congress asked permission to place the IC in their archives!!!

But you gotta hear this...the US military doesn't keep a running list of the killed, coz they said...ready for this one?...they don't have the computer capability to do so!!! Can you BELIEVE that crap????!!!!

We also have a blog where I do a lot of ranting about rightwingnut hypocrisy & stupidity and how our troops don't need foreign enemies with "support" they get from RWWs.

I love it here at DU too...one can NEVER have too many places to rant & rave against stupid, hypocritic RWWs. ;-)
