:puke: ('scuse me)

I thought Habitat for Humanity was Carter's baby!?! Keep your slimy, grimy, sticky hands off this project, mister (AWOL, that is)!

25. remember when he stopped by the HFH during August 2001
for this photo-op ..... he spent hardly 30 minutes there, most of which was spent having his thumb attended to by medics - bwhahahaha

the protestors that day were in a 1st Amendment Zone way down the road out of sight in some parking lot

report from the Home of the Brave
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HomeOfTheBrave/message/3188

"Just got back from protesting Bush in Waco today. We left early this
morning, and were surprised to hear at 4:30 am on NPR that Bush had
already been to Waco this morning to help build a house for Habitat for Humanity (another example of the press reporting something before it happened?).

{my note - remember the reports before the event days???}

Since we doubted that he could have done any construction work in the
middle of the night, we continued on to the Waco Hilton where all the
press were staying. From there we followed the media whores to the
construction site. At first, the four of us were the only people there who weren't invited for the photo op. Only those with special passes could get into the 60 block area surrounding the event. There were police everywhere, many imported from neighboring communities.

46. Bush is all apron - no hammer!
No problem with taking over Carter's baby - he doesn't have either the instincts or the desire. I've worked on Habitat homes and it is not easy work - not the place for a slacker.

I dislike the obvious patronizing mind set of these people. They just don't realize how disgusting they are. Get ready, tho' these pics will be part of TV ads, for sure.

9. Actually, not to besmirch Jimmy Carter, but having been
acquainted with some people who were involved with HFH, they were really fundie types, solid Repukes and loved Rush Limbaugh. I am not surprised Bush is in the middle of them. Gotta get those votes. He can't steal all of em ya know.

29. I used to work for Habitat for Humanity
The director was Christian but didn't try to push it down anyone's throat. They welcomed anyone who wanted to help as far as I could tell.

Great organization. I still contribute, when I can. It's not their fault they were used by Shrub, who wanted to promote his faith-based initiatives.

5. How to be Compassionate 101
"In a compassionate society, people respect one another and take responsibility for the decisions they make in life."

Be Compassionate, tell your neighbor to do it themselves, in a nice voice.

people respect one another and take responsibility for the decisions they make in life.

Unless they were born into the landed gentry and are incapable of taking responsibility for themselves or for their decisions.

In all other cases, respectfully tell them to f*ck off.

OMG....This guy sure has balls.....he doesn't give a hoot about ANYONE who is not white and filthy rich, and to use these little kids for a photo-op to make him look like such a "compassionate" and "caring" pRESIDENT is so hypocritical it's pathetic. There is NOTHING this idiot won't do for a vote. It's sickening. :puke:

20. checking the galleries there - it's blatant
don't know if it's pandering or not or just trying to be 'diverse' like at the 2000 convention when they put all the minorities on stage, and none were in the audience ...

... sort of a subliminal ... put the minorities in the back of the photo gallery bus ... so, only minorities qualify for the "compassion" needing category??? ... hmmmmm

... there's some serious sociological study material here for the student ...

now, for the real * - a study in contrast: a look at his constituency

12. How much taxpayer money goes to pay for each for those tacky
repetitive word sets/back drops that he uses? Since those are not necessary to enable him to do his job (unless he really needs to see a phrase repated 1,247 times to remember it) - I think we (taxpayers) should bill his reelection campaign for these props.

Also, for someone discussing "health and fitness", the belly seems to be drooping a little over the belt.

Caption from the picture:

Please note stomach is bigger than belt.

it reminds me of Hitler's little "modified seig heil salute" he'd do with the palm out as the horde of Leni-lensed lunatics screamed/orgasmed on Speerian sets. Rove & Hughes must have well worn copies of "Triumph of the Will."

27. I have often wondered.....
why do repukes add "compassionate" in front of conservative? Does it mean that some repubs are not compassionate, therefore those that are have to qualify their conservatism by preceding it with the word compassionate, as if to say it is not normal for a conservative to be compassionate? YIKES, what a bunch of oxy-morons. LOL

51. Nothing new here
Wow,

The cynical manipulation of these people are unreal. Blacks used as props. Laura Bush reading to children at a library while her husband cuts billions in funding for schools and for libraries.

Bush posing with blacks, hands upraised, Halleleujah, after attaining office by illegally removing 50,000 blacks from the voter rolls in Florida.

Bush denying that blacks even exist or have the right to vote by having his election operatives sabotage 70,000 votes cast in mostly poor black Florida districts by triple-punching their already-cast votes, thus invalidating them.

Bush, who when visiting with a Brazilian head of state, and right in front of Condi Rice sitting there, "OH, you have blacks in Brazil, too?"

Bush, who's father trounced Mike Dukakis by airing the infamous Willie Horton, "I'm a furloughed negro who's gonna rape your daughters" ad.

Bush, who overcame John McCain's campaign mommentum in South Carolina by having his operatives call up voters in SC and asking them if they really wanted to vote for McCain, "who had fathered a black child?"

Bush, whose nominating Convention resembled Showtime at The Apollo, with operatives, armed with walkie talkies, scouring the floor for negroes, and positioning them at key network camera spots, alongside Barbara Bush and other members of the Bush entourage.

Bush, who...Clarence Thomas...AGH! Never mind!

Captain Mike
