4. I'm in Lincoln and excited as h#ll
here's a link to the local paper story on it. The news was front page, above the crease.

ALSO: Here's a letter I sent to the editor of the local paper in response to the article
-----------------------------------------------------------------
David Kramer’s comment’s about the possibility of Michael Moore speaking in Lincoln has to be one of the most hypocritical statements I seen in a very long time. He is quoted as saying that Moore’s visit would be like a “$40,000 political rally paid for by university funds."

I’d like to remind Mr. Kramer that the taxpayers of Lincoln have already footed a $35,000 bill for a political rally. The taxpayers of Omaha have also been stuck with a similar sized bill.

Mr. Kramer should keep in mind that, unlike the GOP fundraisers, the Moore event would be open to the public and ticket sales would likely make this event profitable for the university and taxpayers.

If the Nebraska GOP is so concerned about the use of taxpayer funds for political events, they should reimburse the taxpayers of Lincoln and Omaha for their private fundraisers. If they continue choose to stick us with the bill they have no room to complain.
