How many times has this sot given a truly embarrassing, falling-down drunk, slurred speech, incoherent thought process, hunch over the podium speech--that nobody outside of DU/Bartcop/Buzzflash etc ever hears about?

FWIW--some people have been worried that the networks will cover the Republican convention in greater depth than the Democrats. Maybe not. They don't want anything embarrassing--AWOL stumbling into the podium, Trent Lott calling for a return to slavery, etc--to be on primetime. Nobody but the hardcare Republicans will watch it, and no matter what happens, the talking heads will be out in force the next morning telling us how strong and resolute and positive and unified everybody was.
