Ann Coulter should speak at the GOP convention!
Now there's an idea! I think we should encourage the GOP to let the true voices of their party have a shot at addressing the crowd at MSG.

I'm talking Annthrax, Michael Savage, Jerry Falwell, Rush Lowbrow, Fred Phelps - all of the GOP 'fun' element.

Should I start an online petition?

2. absolutely
Ann perfectly embodies the spirit of the modern Republican Party. She should give the keynote address.

3. I think we should all phone into Fox News ...
... as "concerned Republicans" and put a bug in their ear that Ann Coulter should be encouraged to speak at the RNC.

4. Coulter, Santorum, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage. Fred Phelps is a good one
Let Phelps, for instance, go out and primetime and spew his "God hates fags" stuff. Great red meat for the ultra right wing weirdos on the convention floor.

7. I doubt
Phelps would want to speak, he hates anyone who does not get in the boat with him. He is an embarrassment to the GOD I worship, the church and the state of Kansas. If someone starts a drive to move him out of the state I would gladly contribute.

He's Bush's biggest booster and close personal friend. Without him Bush would have never hit the trifecta.

(on edit:) Oh yeah, O'Reilly too.

6. Oh no. . . the GOP has made very sure
that all their crazies are locked away for the convention--don't want to frighten middle-America, don'tcha know???

8. And I wonder if we'll be seeing much of Pat Buchanan?
In 1992 Molly Ivins wrote after Pat's speech that she thought it sounded better in the original German. But Pat has been very critical of Dim Son, and since he comes off as extreme anyway, I bet he won't have a venue. Pat can only reach out to the anti-abortion crowd. He'd have to remain mute on the important issues of the war, jobs, etc.

9. Hey, give Pat some credit
Last night, on MSNBC, Scarboy pulled out the clip of him being interviewed by the brilliant Ali G. Buchanan had a good laugh about it.

10. Hate to burst your bubble about Phelps,
but he's run for governor in primaries on the Democratic ticket. Unbelievable, huh? I'm always amazed that he gets the few votes he does--how can ANYBODY go along with his shit?

12. OMG! Is that true?!
Phelps is a Democrat? Boy, is he in the wrong party. And we thought Zell was bad!

Oh well, Jerry Falwell *IS* speaking at the GOP Convention.

I'm going to love the GOP Convention even more than the Democratic Convention because I'm interested in how they are going to top it. We are sending a message of hope, and I have a feeling that they are going to send a message of far right wingness. I can see Bush’s numbers falling after his Convention just like the State of the Union address.

13. If they are the ones speaking for the masses
they might as well.

I would rather they do that than put up people that don't represent them.
