2. I think he did while in Vietnam.
He killed for his country while Bush was getting his teeth cleaned.

5. I remember in one interview
he talked about how when he told his daughter the silver star story he said that the guy got scared and ran away, and that he only recently told her that he killed someone.

This was during the MTV interview, and the interviewer asked Kerry why he changed the story for his daughter, and Kerry gave him the best look. Just a "you mean why did I not want my 6 year old to know I killed a man?" look.

6. Let me let you in on a secret
Don't go there. You don't dodge bullets and mortars and napalm and jungle warfare and get a bronze star and a silver star and not defend yourself. I am speaking on behalf of all veterans. Kill or be killed is the determining factor on whether you come back alive.Sometimes defending your life will still get you put six feet under. Why did you even go to this question? Please don't go there.
These soldiers, veterans live with survival guilt and these things for the rest of their lives. Personally kill someone? Our veterans have enough on them without having to answer that question. Trust me they think about it daily. John Kerry is one of America's combat veterans.

8. i don't mean to be insensitive but
the republicans want to define kerry as a liberal which has connotations of being wimpy maybe not as patriotic as say a conservative. it just seems at some level kerry is what W dreams of being(ie a real hero/warrior). i also did not know if kerry was in that kind of direct combat, and sense the stakes are so high, it was a legitimate question. maybe not fair but legitimate.

If Kerry DID come out and say, yeah, I killed a man face to face in Vietnam, and made a big deal out of it, the right-wing owned media (i.e. ALL the media) would damn him as an unstable, psychotic murderer. And you know it.

most impressed with you in your non knowing then all the arrogance going on, gigglin and a wink. you are doing great and exactly to the point you make. he being a hero and taking life and battle, then coming back and speaking out against the war in courage and eloquence as opposed to those that have never been in battle tainting his record

i have listened to some of his testimony in front of congress

and yes to the point that there could be a faq page, but then equally i embrace those that have a question to ask, and enivitably someone will come along and embrace adn share, i am just sure, lol

12. the story has been verified by several crewmates.
charlie was prepping to launch an RPG into his boat, kerry ran him down & capped him point blank.

he's a legit hero, saved his boat & crew, @ great personal risk.

32. Any Republican that labels Kerry as wimpy is a total pussy
themself. Read the story on his silver star and you will quickly find out the man is anything, but a pussy. Well, Bush was blowing lines, Kerry was serving his country and saving his crew members lives.

22. He's rich and Bush isn't!
Kerry's a limousine liberal, a Massachusettes Blueblood, and Bush is a bootstrap-pulling commoner from a dirt-poor little burg in Texas!

Wait...you mean Bush is an inheritance millionaire...from an oil/intelligence dynasty....? And he was born in CONNECTICUT?! But he seems like such a man of the people......

Damn liberal media!

Oh yeah, and he's a decorated war hero. I think he did in combat.

George Bush killed 30,000 plus with the Iraq war, but hey, who's counting?

23. And how does this compare to the number people Bush
has killed and maimed because of his executive decisions and policies? Remember when he was governor of Texas he had a reputation for being the capital punishment governor. He had no remorse either.
