Classified Letters Regarding FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds: Memory Hole

now available at the memory hole: the three "retroactively classified" letters regarding Sibel Edmonds, as well as a transcript of her October 2002 60 Minutes appearance.

Even though I've been keeping up with this story, it never ceases to cause my jaw to drop. Some quotes from 60 minutes:

Ms. SIBEL EDMONDS: The first two months after the September 11 event, we--the agents out there in--in--in New York, LA, other field offices, they were working around the clock. And I would receive calls from these people saying, 'Would you please prioritize this and--and translate it?'

BRADLEY: (Voiceover) But Edmonds says that to her amazement, from the day she started the job, she was told repeatedly by one of her supervisors that there was no urgency; that she should take longer to translate documents so that the department would appear overworked and understaffed. the whole sibel edmonds story just blows me away. yet another huge piece of evidence of the White House coverup of 9/11. MIHOP, LIHOP? either way, it's treason.

any news on the postponed Sibel appearance on 60 Minutes?

shake the "tectonic plates" in D.C. From what I read in the post, it appears it could be related to Ms. Edmonds. If you get a chance, read the thread and give me some feedback. I am off base or could this story be dealing with what she has tried to advise congress about?

Heard Josh "tectonic plates" Marshall speak at a Kerry party today:

Thought people here would like to know what he said, since he had teased, before he bailed on vacation, about a story he was working on with Wayne Madsen and a few others, that - he said - would "shift the tectonic plates in this city where I hang my hat" (meaning Washington). Just FYI, really:

7. I hope this obvious Justice Dept coverup is going to be fully exposed

by Josh Marshall and/or other reporters soon. This is quite possibly the huge story he is referring to. The only other possible story he might be developing would be the separate intelligence cadre that operated outside the CIA and provided manipulated intel info to the White House but has not been probed sufficiently either by the 911 commission or the Senate intel report.

It is amazing how many government officials, intelligence officers and whistleblowers have come forward only to be faced with intimidation and attempts to discredit or suppress them by this Administration.
